Personal Milestone

merricatbI'm really bad at self promotion etc but I'm trying to be more positive overall and acknowledge my accomplishments so here goes...I just recently passed 10,000 hits on AO3!!!
I only started writing fanfiction this year and published my first fic at the end of April and now I have 34. I never even really read much fanfiction before but Sense8 has such a tiny fandom and tumblr just wasn't sustaining me so I went looking elsewhere and here we are.
I used to want to write for a living and even self published several books, and then got totally burnt out and wrote NOTHING for years despite being desperate for some sort of creative outlet. Fanfiction brought me out of my slump and back into writing which has been such a huge help for my mental health. I love seeing the same names pop up in kudos and comments and geeking out about my fave show with people. And now I feel like I'm contributing something to the community instead of just deep scrolling tumblr and hoping for new content.
So here's to 10,000 more I guess, and hopefully I'll be out of my writing slump soon and post more fics.
