Favorite Sense8 Moments

I'm stealing this from greenfinch because OMG there are so many.

Narrowing it down to ten is pretty tough to be honest but here goes:

1. What's up - The What's up karaoke scene has it all. Romance, joy, fear, wonderment, and the grand finale, action and suspense as Will finally figures out how to help Nomi and then in swoops Amanita with a wheelchair to finish off the rescue. If you start watching Sense8 and you're not absolutely in love with it by this point, it may not be the show for you.
2. Rajan's engagement singalong - This man loves his fiance so much he employs a group of friends (relatives, subordinates, idek who those people are) to reenact her favorite Bollywood musical scene. Despite Kala having lukewarm feelings about him, she is sooo happy y'all! And then of course she sees Wolfgang and it's Rajan who?
3. Capheus' courage - This scene starts out so heartbreaking. He finally gets the medication for his mother and even though they know better than to stop where they stop, they need the money. Everyone is robbed, and Capheus tries to hide the precious medication he saved up to buy for sooo long but they steal it anyway. The way he just sits there with his pants around his ankles breaks me every time. Then he makes a decision that changes his life. At this point he doesn't know anyone will help him. He doesn't even let Jela help him. He's just determined to get it back and off he goes. Enter Sun, already kicking ass in Seoul, happy (if a little confused) to kick some ass in Nairobi too. This is the first moment in the show where they actively start helping each other and it is *chefs kiss*
4. Nomi's second rescue - Now things start escalating. BPO shows up at Grace's door. Special shoutout to Amanita for using feminine hygiene products to strike terror into the hearts of men, but the real action is when Nomi gets to the alley. So far we've only had one on one connections, but it's going to take more than that to save our girl. Will gets distracted when Nomi reaches out to help, and Sun is called up to bat once more. Then as Nomi gets into a little smartcar (I guess those weren't all electric then? Check out the gas prices though lol) and realizes she can't drive, here comes Capheus! It's so satisfying to see the group start to come together as one.
5. Kalagang - What can I say. The chemistry between Kala and Wolfgang is incredible. Them looking at each other at the Indian restaurant/engagement party, thank god for gravity, and of course her coming to his rescue with a bomb made of spices and kitchen cleaner. How could they not end up together?
6. Wolfgang & Lito - Honestly the two of them could help each other open jars of pickles and I would be here for it. Every interaction between them is amazing. Lito showing up in his underwear and one flip-flop to lie Wolfgang's way under the car? Perfect. Wolfgang coming to help Lito fight Joaquin (after letting him get his ass beat for 10 minutes first)? Pure gold. Sliding in to help Lito break into his own apartment? More of that please. Showing up like his German fairy godmother to threaten Joaquin again while Lito wears a tiara? Thank you Wachoskis I love you.
7. Felix waking up - My boy missed half of the first season, and it was so nice to see Wolfgang happy again. And of course the first thing Felix wants is a beer.
8. The club scene - It's no secret to anyone who follows me that Wolfgang & Felix are my faves. This is a bit specific, but no matter how many times I go through each episode I will always always always watch the scene where they're playing at Fuchs' club and get invited upstairs. Felix's line: "I'm growing accustomed to a certain lifestyle. You're going to have to keep murdering gangsters for me" is sooooo them. I love it.
9. Sun's prison escape - starting with the hanging, naturally. That scene is so chilling from the moment the fake guards shine the flashlight in her face. The rest of the cluster feels what she's feeling and naturally panic, but they come together once more (with the help of Min-Jung) to free her at last. Special shoutout to Jela in that scene for breaking my heart in a million pieces over his anguish at something happening to Capheus.
10. The cemetery scene - Poor Sun has been through hell. Lost her mom at a young age, sacrificed herself (and left behind her dog) for her father and brother who treat her like shit, her father finally realizes who his best child actually is and gets killed for it, and her brother keeps trying to have her killed. She just wants to pay her respects and get some emotional support in the process, and then that pesky detective shows up again. But Mun just wants her to beat his ass again please and thank you ma'am and gets a super hot and sweaty kiss in the process. 10/10, no notes

 

 

Well I seem to have reached #10 and I haven't even gotten to the finale yet. How did I know this would happen? I've probably forgotten some scenes from season one and two as well but for the finale:

1. I Feel You - This is what Sense8 is all about! Everyone jamming and loving each other and the connection spreading out to people who they haven't even picked up yet (looking at you Felix)
2. Wolfgang putting the F in Feral and H in Hostile - Will says "Wolfgang needs us" and it immediately cuts to Wolfgang getting free on his own and going on a killing spree. My boy, I love you but please don't point guns at yourself. That bullet could've been used elsewhere.
3. It's complicated - Wolfie jumping out of the car while it's still moving to pick up his friend, and the India Plan introduction. Gaaaah it's so happy!!!
4. Trojan horse - This scene is so silly. I love their stupid tourist costumes. Fantastic stuff.
5. The wedding - How can I not include the Nominita wedding? Those two were practically married already but an Eiffel Tower wedding with fireworks (which Amanita doesn't hate anymore) and everyone in attendance is just so good. Pot brownie fairies curing transphobia, a cameo by the Italian doctor with impeccable comedic timing, spirit of Jean-Claude, and one of my all time fave scenes in the entire show, which inspired 28 fanfics and counting: Felix and Wolfgang and Rajan and Kala all grabbing hands.

These are all such good choices! I would also rank "What's Up?" as my #1 scene...truly such a beautiful moment in the midst of a lot of chaos and loneliness and struggle.
